Random student picker

Paste your class list, one name a line, and pick. Turn on the no-repeat mode and the picker works through the whole class before anyone comes up twice, which keeps it fair over a lesson.

The list stays in your browser and is not uploaded.

One name a line.

Press pick to choose a student.

The list stays in your browser and is not uploaded. Close the tab and it is gone.

Questions

Is my class data sent anywhere?
No. Every tool here runs in the page itself. There is no server that receives your students' names or their marks, and you can check it in your browser's network tab: using a tool produces no request carrying what you typed. The one thing this site stores is an email address, given at the point you download or copy a result.
How does no-repeat mode work?
It remembers who has been picked this round and draws only from those left, so everyone is called once before the round resets. A counter shows how many are still to come.
Is it actually random?
Yes, from your browser's random number generator, which is fine for picking a name. It is not drawing from a stored list or weighting anyone; each remaining name is equally likely.
Does it keep my class list?
Only while the tab is open. Close it and the list is gone, because nothing is stored on a server. Paste it again next lesson, or keep it in a note of your own.
